KHS Class of 1952, Host

2002 Alumni Reunion

January 3, 2002

Fellow classmates and friends of the Kingfisher High School Class of 1952:

In celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the graduation of our proud class, it will be our honor and responsibility to be in charge of the school reunion ceremonies and luncheon on Memorial Day Weekend in the spring of 2002.

Committees are already at work making plans for the gala event and it is our hope that the class will be in large attendance. It will be truly wonderful to see old friends and reminisce about "those good old days" we shared in the classrooms and hallways at Kingfisher Schools.

It is a longstanding custom that the class celebrating its 50th reunion and hosting the event makes a meaningful gift to the school. The gift committee considering this obligation is comprised of Bill Gooden, David Hunt and Ted Buswell. The committee has met with school administrators and discussed how we could best serve the needs of the school in this matter.

It was decided that we should work through the school's Educational Foundation to provide a Yellow Jacket emblem in the entrance floor of the new high school. We are aiming to raise $2,000 from the class to help the foundation in this project and other worthwhile grants to benefit students in the schools.

We plan to raise the money through the purchase of engraved bricks in "KHS Place" which is a courtyard across from the front entrance of the new high school building paved with bricks engraved with the names of contributors. A donation of $40.00 entitles you to a brick engraved with up to three lines of 13 characters each (including spaces) for your name and other information. We also hope to raise $400.00 to purchase a 12 X 12 brick engraved with "KHS CLASS OF 1952." Money to buy the class brick would be raised by donations from interested classmates.

It would be an impressive and lasting memorial to the members of the Class of 1952 if all of our classmates' names were displayed in this attractive courtyard for posterity. To ensure your place in KHS Place fill out the enclosed form and mail it with your check payable to Kingfisher Educational Foundation to Willa Jo Fowler, 402 North 19th St., Enid, OK 73701-3659.

Your prompt attention and response with appropriate donations will be greatly appreciated. We would like to have the bricks installed and in place by Memorial Day.

We look forward to seeing you at the reunion.

Sincerely,

For the Gift Committee
